Bardwell Photographs, ca. 1910-1926

Postcard photographs, Rosboro, Arkansas

Manuscript Collection 709

About the Collection

The Bardwell photographs were taken by B. Bardwell and his nephew Carney Bardwell, Rosboro, Arkansas, from about 1910 to 1926. The photographs were given by Carney Bardwell to Gene Owen, Hatfield, Arkansas, who in turn gave them to Kenneth L. Smith. Descriptive material was included for most of the photographs, and is incorporated into the description of each photograph.

The photographs are all 3 1/4" x 5 1/4" and are printed on the verso for use as postcards.

Copies of these photographs, loaned by Carney Bardwell for that purpose, were made several years ago and are in the general picture collection, nos. 3747-3766 (negative nos. 3747n-3766n). The picture file number of each copy is in parentheses at the end of the description of each original in this collection.

RESTRICTION: If any of these are reproduced, credit line should be "Bardwell Photo."

Twenty postcard photographs of people and places in and near Rosboro (Pike County) were donated to Special Collections by Kenneth L. Smith, Fayetteville, Arkansas, August 1987.
