Group Viewing Rooms

A small group media room (Room 107A) for audio or video presentations may be reserved for consecutive days or regular periods throughout the semester or may be requested on a first-come first-served basis. The room, which seats up to 12, is equipped with a television, DVD player and VCR, audio cassette player and a turntable.

The Florence B. Williams Viewing Room (Room 104) is used for library instruction and is available to classes on campus for multimedia presentations.  The room is outfitted with a ‘Honors Symposium’ which allows groups to view videos, DVDs, and laser disks and  listen to records, audio cassettes and CDs. Users may use the podium’s mini-MAC and networked PC as well as connect a personal laptop or iPod.  A document camera is also available for projecting transparencies or paper materials.  With prior arrangement, additional overhead, slide or 16mm projectors may be installed.   This room is available for weekly class meetings only by prior arrangement and has a capacity for 50 individuals.

Reserving Rooms

You may reserve group rooms by filling out the request form available at the service desk, by email (avserv@uark.edu), by calling 575-5517, or by completing the Performing Arts and Media Room Request Form online. Performing Arts and Media staff will pull materials and prepare them for your use. You will be informed if materials are not available.

Requests for the rooms are processed Monday through Friday. Please allow 24 hours for confirmation of your request. If you wish to use any computer software or non-commercial optical disks, please provide the disks at least 48 hours in advance in order that we may ensure that they are in proper working order.
